Founded by renowned French watchmaker Renaud-Louis Chavanis, Amplitude is located in the vibrant Sheung Wan district of Hong Kong.
Renaud-Louis’s vision is to create a space where people could indulge in their passion for horology while receiving excellent watchmaking services. This led to the development of the 3-in-1 concept:
a state-of-the-art workshop for professional services
a shop offering a wide range of timepieces and accessories
a dedicated learning space for watchmaking classes.

Renaud-Louis’s journey in horology began 25 years ago when he started learning the craft and skills of Clockmaking under one of the finest Masters in Saint-Etienne, France.
In 2004, he relocated to Hong Kong and embarked on a successful career as a watchmaker for Rolex, eventually becoming their Customer Service Manager for Hong Kong and Shanghai, resulting in 18 years of dedicated service.
In 2023, Renaud-Louis decided to fulfil his dream and founded Amplitude to share his expertise and passion with fellow watch enthusiasts. His commitment to providing exceptional service is part of his passion and dedication for his work.
