Rolex Submariner “Starbucks” MK1

The Rolex Submariner “Starbucks” MK1 is a modern evolution of the iconic dive watch, blending classic design with contemporary upgrades. Its 41mm Oystersteel case houses a black dial framed by a vivid green Cerachrom bezel, earning its nickname from the familiar color pairing. Powered by the Calibre 3235 movement, it offers a 70-hour power reserve and 300m water resistance. With its refined proportions and bold contrast, the MK1 stands as a collector’s favorite—marking the transition from the “Hulk” era to a sleeker, more versatile aesthetic.

Description

Introduced in 2020, the Rolex Submariner “Starbucks” MK1 (Ref. 126610LV) marked the evolution of the Submariner line with a larger 41mm case and the new Calibre 3235 movement. It replaced the all‑green “Hulk” (Ref. 116610LV), opting instead for a black dial paired with a green ceramic bezel. This design shift gave the watch a sharper, more versatile look while still honoring the Submariner’s tradition of bold color. The MK1 designation refers to the earliest production run, with subtle dial and bezel details that make it especially prized among collectors.

Founded in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis, Rolex quickly established itself as a pioneer in precision and durability. Relocating to Geneva in 1919, the brand introduced milestones such as the waterproof Oyster case in 1926 and the self‑winding Perpetual rotor in 1931. The Submariner itself debuted in 1953 as one of the first professional dive watches, setting the standard for underwater timekeeping. Today, Rolex remains privately owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation and is celebrated worldwide for its blend of technical innovation, timeless design, and enduring prestige.
