Christian Ruefli-Flury, a gifted and deeply romantic Swiss Maître-Horloger from Grenchen, crafted a bespoke pocket watch as a heartfelt gift for his wife Pauline’s 25th birthday. Moved by the elegance and mastery of this creation, Pauline encouraged Christian to establish his own watchmaking atelier in Biel, a city celebrated for its highly skilled horological engineers. He named his new company “Edox,” a term meaning “measurement of time” in ancient Greek. Perfectly capturing the brand’s enduring commitment to precision and craftsmanship.
